Veronica Mars 1ª Temporada

Argumento: En la comunidad de Neptune, ubicada al lado del mar, los ricos y poderosos marcan las reglas, poseen el pueblo y el insituto, y tratan desesperadamente de que sus pequeños y turbios secretos sigan siendo eso... secretos. Desafortunadamente para ellos, esta Veronica Mars, una valiente muchacha de 17 años, aprendiz de investigadora privada y que se dedica a resolver los misterios mas ocultos del pueblo.

En realidad, Veronica (Kristen Bell) solia ser una de las chicas mas populares, paseando por los pasillos del Instituto de Neptune con el resto de la "gente guapa". Pero todo se desmorona cuando su mejor amiga Lilly es asesinada y su padre Keith Mars (Enrico Colantoni, Inteligencia Artificial), el sheriff del pueblo, es apartado de su cargo, tras ser señalado por el padre de la muchacha como el principal sospechoso de este crimen. Despues de ser exculpado del crimen, el escándalo le cuesta a Keith su trabajo, su hogar y su esposa, y Veronica es rechazada por sus hasta entonces populares amigos, inclui­do su novio, Duncan Kane (Teddy Dunn, El mensajero del miedo), y hermano de Lilly.

Durante el dí­a, Veronica debe afrontar su vida en el instituto como todas las demás chicas de su edad. Junto a uno de sus compañeros, también marginado por los demás chicos, Wallace Fennel (Percy Daggs III), trata de lidiar con sus clases, mientras se muestra cautelosa con sus antiguos amigos como Duncan y su mejor amigo Logan Echolls (Jason Dohring, Deep Impact), y con gente ajena al instituto como Weevil (Francis Capra, Una historia del Bronx) y sus colegas del club motero de P.C.H.

Por la noche, Veronica ayuda a su padre, ahora investigador privado, a husmear en oscuros callejones y en moteles clandestinos con una cámara de lente telescópica y su libro de matemáticas en un intento por desvelar los secretos más oscuros de este pequeño pueblo costero de California, mientras sigue buscando pruebas que limpien de una vez por todas el nombre de su padre y le devuelva el cariño y respeto de sus amigos, aunque lo que puede ir encontrando en sus investigaciones, quizá destroce la aparente traquilidad de Neptune.
